I'm so excited. This past weekend, I planted garlic for next spring! I bought it from the village market. The all organic market at the waldorf school om Saturday's (year-round!). farmer mike there explained the whole thing to me and was so enthusiastic and helpful! Now I'm anxious I did everything right and super hopeful about my crop next spring.
The scapes sound especially delightful. There's this bulbous flower thing that grows when the garlic sprouts (called the scape) and you have cut it off to get bigger garlic bulbs. The awesome thing is it is also delicious. So excited!
